Directions
The easiest approach to Holmeshead is from Ambleside. Leave the town on the A593 towards Coniston. After 1½ miles, turn left at the sign to Hawkshead (B5286). After 300 metres, turn right along a narrow road running alongside the river, which is on your right.
At the next T junction, turn left. After about 400 metres you will see the sign for 'Holmeshead Farm'. Turn left into the drive.
